Ecuador Endeavor

 Michele Crowe

Welcome to the Ecuador Endeavor Website, ministry page of Michele Crowe, AGWM Missionary to Ecuador, who directs the Global University/ICI ministry in Ecuador. Global University/ICI comprises evangelism, discipleship, worker training, pastoral preparation, and university coursework.

Through local pastors, the national church, and Un Buen Consejo, the spiritual counseling ministry of Unsión TV, a Christian family values station, founded by AG missionaries Bill and Connie McDonald, Global University has distributed thousands of copies of the gospel booklet, The Great Questions of Life. The Great Questions of Life are now also in the men’s prison, as well as El Inca, the Quito Women's prison. God has blessed these endeavors and is impacting lives throughout the nation.

Diverse cultures and languages flavor the country of Ecuador. Just one of the endeavors Michele is involved in through Global University is the translation of The Great Questions of Life into the heart languages of indigenous groups, mainly in the jungles of Ecuador. Through the facilitation of Philip and Deanna Barber, AGWM missionaries working with both the Cofan and Secoya peoples, we are pleased that the translation into Cofan is complete and has been formatted for printing. And, we are completing the first edit and formatting the Secoya translation for printing.

Global University also continues to equip workers for ministry. Pastors and church leaders from the Amazon, the Galapagos Islands, the Andes Mountains, and the Pacific Coast are studying the Bible and learning how to more effectively minister to their congregations. In the southern coastal region of Ecuador, a group of students is studying the fundamentals of the Christian faith, equipping themselves for service in their local congregations and others eventually to pastor their own congregations. A growing number of pastors in the Coastal district of the Assemblies of God in Ecuador were granted their first credential having completed required studies for their ministerial credentials through Global University.

Please pray with Michele that God will use these workers to reach souls, winning the lost and training the found in Ecuador!

No Other God

Read Exodus 32:1 through 34:35

“Wow! I wish I could sing like her.” Kelsy beamed as she yelled her dreams to her mom standing next to her. They’d managed to snag front row tickets to see a tween rocker in concert. The music blared and lights danced rhythmically, enhancing the fantasy. It was going perfectly until the scantily clad male dancers joined the starlet on stage.

Kelsey’s face mirrored the shock her mom felt, whose cheeks flushed first with embarrassment, then with anger. In an instant, the teen idol turned two fans cold and left an image carved in their hearts that would take much time to fade.

Idols come in many forms—people and things.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go down, because your people... have become corrupt. They have been quick to turn away from what I commanded them and have made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf” (Exodus 32:7,8).

Anything can quickly take the place of God if we are not careful. But before God takes steps to discipline us, we can search our hearts for any idols we have set up. Then we can repent and rededicate our lives to the Lord.

Prayer for Today: Lord, help me give my heart to You alone.
